Celia takes control of the forklift to gently lower the sculpture onto the base while I hope the straps hold. The finished piece will be at Springbox this week, starting April 19th, so please stop by and give it a twirl.
Have a 5′ diameter pipe rolled from 3/16″ steel and figure out where it looks best, cut hole, insert pipe, weld and then grind, grind, grind…….
The next step is to bring the circles in the shop, bend one and figure the angle at which it will be presented.
In Portland, a fire is essential to enjoy the outdoors until July, this is one I built for the Street of Dreams home show.
While our garden (and roof) here in Portland showcases over 30 varieties of moss I enjoyed seeing this garden in San Diego that seems to flourish with minimal water and provides a perfect backdrop for one of my balls, spheres or orbs, you choose the descriptive.
This unisex shopper stands on a globe under a cloud as storm water falls into the bio swale. One of several storm water projects I’ve done with New Seasons, the best grocery in Portland. This installation is at the 7 corners store in Southeast.
20′ tall Shasta Daisies enjoy some rainwater that drops from the roof of New Season’s Cedar Hills location.
When driving up Hawthorne, around 41st in Southeast Portland, look up to the top of New Season’s latest grocery oasis and you’ll see a vane firmly rooted in the stores ethos of bringing their customers the freshest and biggest veggies.
